Skin Tightening

Most clients describe the sensation as warmth and mild tingling during the delivery of energy. Some areas may feel more sensitive than others. The treatment is generally very well tolerated without the need for numbing cream or anaesthetic, and any discomfort is brief and manageable.

Results from a HIFU treatment can last 12–18 months, and often longer with good skin maintenance. Because the treatment stimulates your own collagen production, results continue to develop over the 2–3 months following your session before reaching their peak. Annual maintenance treatments are recommended to sustain results as the natural ageing process continues.

In most cases, one session produces noticeable lifting and tightening. A second session may be recommended for clients with more significant skin laxity or those wanting a more dramatic improvement. We'll assess your skin and set realistic expectations at your consultation.

There is no downtime with HIFU. You can return to your full routine immediately after your appointment. Some clients experience mild redness, slight swelling, or tenderness in the treated area for a few hours post-treatment, this is a normal response and resolves quickly.

HIFU is most commonly used on the face and neck for lifting and tightening, but can also be applied to the décolletage, abdomen, arms, thighs, and knees for skin tightening on the body. It's particularly effective for addressing loose skin following weight loss.

HIFU works best for clients with mild to moderate skin laxity who want to firm and tighten without surgery. It's suitable for most skin types and tones. It is not recommended for those with certain implants, active skin infections, or severe skin laxity that would be better addressed surgically. We'll discuss your suitability at consultation.

Some clients notice an immediate firmness following treatment. However, the most significant results develop gradually as collagen production is stimulated and rebuilt over 2–3 months. Patience is key — the improvement is progressive and entirely natural-looking.
